Welcome to Art Machine Productions!
Nick Panzer came to us back in November of 2011 as a hardworking shop assistant. After months of hard work, he respectfully asked Tim Pangburn if he would be willing to take him on as an apprentice. The rest is history.
Nick intently studied Tim and the other artists in the shop while continuing to tend to his responsibilities as an apprentice. He has contributed immensely to the growth of Art Machine Productions. Setting each artist’s appointment up, then breaking them down afterwards, mopping, dusting, errands, countless trips to 7-11, fixing broken items, changing one of the multitude of lightbulbs in the gallery, more errands, and forced trips to hang out with everyone; Nick has been pulled in multiple directions at once and he has never ever once questioned a task, complained, or gotten angry. Not once. Nick is by far one of the most unique people we have ever encountered. Not only is he hardworking and dedicated, he is one of the most genuinely nice and relaxed people you will ever meet.
After a year with Art Machine, Nick did his first tattoo on himself in November of 2012. Another one was soon to follow, and then his first on a friend. Everyone was blown away by his immediate talent and ability to grasp the concept of tattooing. Nick’s work has continued to improve and will only get better. He has grabbed the attention of some of the artist’s established clients who jumped at the opportunity to be tattooed by this up and coming artist. Word about his talent has been spreading, as strangers are beginning to contact the studio to request Nick for their tattoo work.
Nick’s apprenticeship isn’t quite over yet, but he is on the verge. Even outside of his apprenticeship, Nick will continue to be the shop’s student, as we all are to each other. At Art Machine we pride ourselves on learning every day from our peers; techniques and life lessons that help us all to grow as artists and human beings. We are truly honored to have been able to contribute to the growth of an individual as amazing as Nick Panzer and we are excited to see him progress. It has been unanimously agreed that if Tim ever decided to take on another apprentice, they would have a lot to live up to after having the privilege of teaching Nick Panzer.
